Company Career Site

A company’s corporate career site provides a great opportunity to showcase the true value proposition of an employer and can provide compelling reasons for both active and passive candidates to learn more and eventually express an interest in working for the company.

Career Site Best Practices

When creating a strategy for a career website, the overall design and content are the two most important factors to take into consideration. However, these two factors should not overshadow a potential candidate's ability to get the information they need in order to make the decision on whether or not to take the next step in completing an application. A company's career website may be the first point of interaction with a candidate and can play a major role in setting the tone for the overall candidate experience. Consider going beyond the basics of a career site which typically include job postings, benefits information, culture and job fairs. Other leading practices include:
  • Social media integration
  • Employee feedback (think Glassdoor)
  • Video
  • Landing pages for various job functions within your company
  • Serving up career content based on a site visitors preferences and browsing history
